Audax: Committed to sustainability

In an environment where investors, markets, customers and regulators are demanding ever greater rigour and transparency, we regard sustainability as a key factor in our competitiveness and business resilience. That is why we place sustainability criteria, or ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), at the heart of our corporate strategy.

We firmly believe that doing things right means doing them sustainably; therefore, sustainability is not just another department or project, but an integral part of how we approach our business.

This commitment translates into a strategy geared towards solid and sustainable growth, which drives business development whilst ensuring respect for the environment, particularly in our power generation activities. We are committed to offering the best service to our customers and to a management model based on the principles of good governance, with robust and rigorous control structures.

Committed to the energy transition

Our core business is the supply of electricity and gas, which we complement with the development and operation of our own portfolio of renewable energy assets.

At Audax, we see the energy transition as more than just a business opportunity: it is the right way forward. That is why, for over a decade, we have been investing and working to move towards a more efficient and less polluting energy model.

“Renewable energy sources are the best way to tackle climate change”.

Audax’s growth plan includes new investments aimed at increasing installed capacity and strengthening the Group’s presence in strategic markets.

The development of our generation projects is based on the application of technical, environmental and territorial criteria from the outset, ensuring appropriate site planning and integration into the surrounding environment. In this regard, particular attention is paid to the preservation of the natural heritage and to minimising impacts throughout the assets’ life cycle.

Sustainability strategy

Audax has drawn up an ESG roadmap, the “ESG Roadmap 2026–2030”, with the aim of strengthening the Group’s sustainability management model, fostering corporate culture, anticipating regulatory requirements, minimising environmental impacts and maximising the value generated for customers, employees and stakeholders.

The ESG roadmap is structured around the three ESG pillars, driving specific objectives and initiatives that guide the Group’s development.

Environment

Combating climate change

The Group promotes the production and consumption of energy from 100% renewable sources, convinced that this is the best way to combat climate change.

In line with this commitment, we are working to increase our installed capacity by 500 MW and reduce direct greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by 80% by 2030.

Environmental management

The Group will continue to strengthen its environmental management system, recognising that caring for the environment is not merely a requirement, but a commitment that defines us as a company. We are making progress in implementing ISO 14001 certification across our subsidiaries, reinforcing a consistent environmental management model that is aligned across the Group.

Society

Employees at the heart of the business

Audax’s greatest asset is the people who make up the company; that is why we are working to standardise employee management processes across all the Group’s subsidiaries by 2030. Under the hashtag #AudaxPride, we continue to build a culture based on respect, equality, professional development and the wellbeing of all employees who form part of the Group.

Customer management

We build lasting, trust-based relationships with our customers, which is why we continue to improve our customer service and complaints handling processes. The plan includes expanding our sales channels and continuing to implement ISO 9001 certification across the Group’s subsidiaries.

Local Communities

Having a presence in nine countries has real significance: contributing to the communities where we operate. Over the coming years, we will continue to create direct and indirect jobs, prioritise local recruitment and continue to expand our programme of donations to local communities, because growing sustainably means growing together.

Governance

Ethics, Compliance and Sustainable Leadership

At Audax, we are constantly strengthening our governance model on a solid foundation of ethics, transparency and regulatory compliance. The ESG Roadmap includes specific actions for the coming years, such as updating the Code of Ethics and Conduct, consolidating a culture of compliance through training across the organisation, and extending these principles to our value chain by defining standards for suppliers.

Information Security

Trust is also built by protecting information. At Audax, we are strengthening our systems and processes by implementing ISO 27001 certification and the National Security Scheme, moving towards a more robust and resilient model. In addition, we provide ongoing training for our teams in cybersecurity and data protection, integrating these capabilities as an essential part of how we operate.

ESG policies

To ensure that we act responsibly and in line with our commitments, we have corporate policies in place that set out the principles and guidelines which steer our activities.

At Audax, we believe that sustainability is built on action and transparency. For this reason, the company regularly participates in assessment and analysis processes carried out by independent organisations specialising in sustainability.
These assessments enable us to measure our ESG performance, identify opportunities for improvement and compare our results with those of other companies in the energy sector.

Our wind and solar power facilities coexist with the environment; they do not replace it. We protect the flora, fauna and natural habitats in every area where we operate by implementing measures to prevent, monitor, minimise, restore and compensate for impacts, applying the hierarchy of environmental mitigation and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Audax helps to foster an ethical and transparent business environment by promoting a culture of compliance, respect for human rights and zero tolerance of corruption. Through a robust governance model, based on the Code of Ethics, the whistleblowing channel and rigorous control policies, we promote responsible practices that build trust in the market, strengthen our relationships with stakeholders and foster fair and sustainable economic development.

Audax views collaboration as a key driver for progress towards a more sustainable energy model. To this end, it forges partnerships with institutions, industry associations, companies and other stakeholders, with the aim of sharing knowledge, promoting joint solutions and making a positive impact on the communities in which it operates.
